Introduction

The most flexible and powerful session container is that of a Linux Desktop. Though rarely used for digital signage deployments this session container can be assigned to any station including the host PC/server to manage the Userful Network Video Wall solution.

Station Mapping: Creating a Linux Desktop Session

Station Mapping allows you to bind a specific station to session container. To create "Linux Desktop" session container:

  1. Click on "New Session Container". Use the drop-down menu to select "Linux Desktop" as the session container type and give a session name.

  2. Click "OK" to complete the process

Once session container is created, stations or video wall can be "mapped" or assigned by simply dragging-and-dropping the station or video wall icons to the desired session container.


Note: Changes will not take effect until the "Apply" button is clicked.

To change the configuration (for example, to change the session name), click on the session container name to open the "Edit Session Container" window.
