Introduction

Blackmagic DeckLink Capture Session Container casts HDMI output from any playback device (PC, Mac, Smart phone, tablet, Gaming Console, Cams, etc.) on a station or multiple stations in a video wall setup. In other words, this session container allows user to cast the HDMI output from any PC.

Please consider following points before using this session container:

  • Content with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) will not play
  • Supported Capture Card should be installed on host PC and firmware should be updated.



Station Mapping: Creating Blackmagic DeckLink Capture Session Container

Blackmagic DeckLink Capture Session Container

Station Mapping allows you to bind a specific station to the Blackmagic DeckLink Capture session container. To create this session container:

  • Click on "New Session Container". Use the drop-down menu to select "Blackmagic DeckLink Capture" as the session type and give a name


  • Select the Input from the drop-down based on the setup (Input represents the HDMI input device)
  • Select the Mode from the drop-down list (Mode represents output resolution and frames per second)


  • Select the scaling option and click "OK" to complete the process



Map Stations to Session Container

Once session container is created, video wall can be "mapped" or assigned by simply dragging-and-dropping the video wall icon to the session container. The content of HDMI output device will play on display(s) or video wall mapped to this session container.

Note: Changes will not take effect until the "Apply" button is clicked.


Make sure to install desktopvideo package from Third-party Add-ons under System Operations.
