Introduction

Userful™ software appliance enables customers to group multiple displays to form a single large display, hence enabling a single host PC/server to support one or more larger video wall displays. The software appliance is designed to utilize both the CPU and the GPU to maximize performance.

This document outlines the recommended system specifications and list of certified host PC/servers.

Certified Host PC/Servers

The following host PC/servers are thoroughly tested and certified to work well with Userful™.

Recommended Host PC/Server Specifications

The following are the recommended system specifications for Userful™ software appliance:

Processor: 4th-Generation Intel® Core i7 "Haswell" (Desktop Processor)
GPU: Intel® HD 4000 series (or newer)
RAM: 16 or 32 GB RAM
NIC: Integrated Intel® Gigabit Network Card (or 10Gig NIC for large video-intensive deployments)
Optional Components:

• Capture Cards
• Nvidia Offload Cards

Notes: Intel® 6th-Generation "Skylake" processors are not supported at this time. If you are planning to install additional cards for your capture needs, either go with full tower or tower form factor system. For optimal performance, Userful strongly recommends Intel® Core™ i7 (Haswell) CPU and Intel® HD 4000 (4th Generation) or greater GPU for the solution.

Please Note: Intel® Core i7 should be Desktop class processor. If you are planning to use 9 or more displays, the Userful host will optimize the resolution for each display. Nvidia GTX 900 series cards consume more power than is available in some Desktop systems, please make sure your Userful host has adequate power supply.
