Web Browser provides users the ability to access HTML5, WebGL and Flash content using Firefox and Chrome web browsers.

Mapping: Creating a Web Browser Source

Mapping allows you to bind a specific display or video wall to the Web Browser source. To create Web Browser source:

Creating Web Browser Source
  1. Click on Mapping > New Source button. From the drop-down menu select "Web Browser" source type and give it a name.
  2. Choose Browser type from the drop-down menu.
    • Chrome: launches specified URL in Google Chrome.
    • Chrome: App: launches specified URL in Google Chrome - Application mode. Chrome apps can be installed or bought from Chrome Web Store.
    • Chrome: App ID: launches specified URL in Google Chrome to start a particular Chrome App.
    • Chrome: Kiosk: launches the desired URL in a full-screen mode, onto every display mapped to that source, without any control, tab or menu. User navigation is limited to hyperlinks on the HTML pages served.
    • FireFox: launches specified URL in Firefox.
    • Firefox: Fullscreen: launches the specified URL in a full-screen mode.
    • WebKit: launches the specified URL only for light-weight basic functionality.
  3. Edit the default URL. (if required)
  4. Select Video Wall Framerate.
  5. This option applies only to the interactive sessions playing on the video wall to free up CPU resources and Network Bandwidth.
  6. Enable Show mouse pointer if required.
  7. Choose whether the session would be persistent or not by clicking radio button next to Retain changes across sessions or Discard changes after each session.
  8. Click "OK" to complete the process.

Please note that all the browser settings in Chrome will persist among various Web Browser sessions, except the browser's default URL. It is strongly recommended to test your usage scenario, if you select "Retain changes across sessions" option.

Map Displays to Web Browser Source

Once source is created, displays or video wall can be "mapped" or assigned by simply dragging-and-dropping the display icons to the Web Browser source. To change the source configuration (e.g., to change the browser type) click on the source name to open the "Edit Source" window and make the changes.

Changes will not take effect until the "Apply" button is clicked.
