Introduction

The most flexible and powerful source is that of a Linux Desktop. Though rarely used for digital signage deployments this source can be assigned to any display including the Userful host.

Mapping allows you to bind a specific display to a source. To create "Linux Desktop" source:

Map Displays to Linux Desktop Source

Once a source is created, displays or video walls can be "mapped" or assigned by simply dragging and dropping the display or video wall icon to the "Linux Desktop" source. To change the source configuration click on the source name to open the "Edit Source" window and make the changes.

Please adjust the output volume level from the Linux desktop under Applications > Sound & Video > Sound if there is no sound output from Host Sound Card.

Note: Changes will not take effect until the "Apply" button is clicked.
