Introduction

Userful's "Ultimate" license provides users the flexibility to create subdivisions among displays or video walls to show multiple content running simultaneously, in a fixed layout through Multi-Window source. For example, user can play Signage Player content on one window, Web Browser content on the other window and so on.

Mapping: Creating a Multi-Window Source

Multi-Window Source Created

Mapping allows you to bind a specific display or video wall to Multi-Window source. To create source:

  1. Click on Mapping > New Source New Source Icon.png button. From the drop-down select Multi-Window as the preferred source type and give it a name. For example, give the name as Multi Window View.

  2. Click on Add Source button to select source(s). Select Source window will list only those sources already created under Control Center > Mapping. The image shown in the right lists the sources added to Multi-Window.

  3. Enter the number of Rows and Columns to create subdivisions within the display/video wall. For example, enter value of Rows and Columns equal to 3 each to create 9 subdivisions.

  4. Click OK to complete the process.

Map Displays to Multi-Window Source

Once the source is created, displays or video walls can be "mapped" by simply dragging-and-dropping the video wall or display icon to the Multi-Window Multi-Window.png source. Changes will not take effect until the "Apply" button is clicked.

The image to the right shows the output of a Multi-Window source with 9 subdivisions.

To change the source configuration (e.g., edit the number of rows or columns) click on the source name to open the "Edit Source" window.

Note: Multi-Window source does not allow support for audio and input devices.
